Julia’s first King Salmon in Ketchikan Alaska

In the summer of 2024, Julia joined Campbell’s Fishing Charters for a day on the waters off Ketchikan, Alaska aboard the F/V 4 C’s. The weather was crisp and clear—perfect for chasing salmon. After a few quiet hours, her rod suddenly bent hard—fish on. With a mix of excitement and determination, she fought the fish as it pulled and dove, testing her every move. After a spirited battle, we landed her first King salmon—a beautiful 15-pounder. Smiling wide and breathless from the fight, Julia knew she’d remember that catch forever.

The summer of 2024 was an incredible time for Ketchikan Alaska fishing, and Julia’s trip was a perfect example of why people travel from all over the world to these waters. Landing a first King Salmon is a milestone for any angler, and doing it in the “Salmon Capital of the World” makes it even more special.
