The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has just issued the corrected 2026 Lingcod sport fishing regulations for the Southern Southeast Inside (Ketchikan) area.
2026 Ketchikan Lingcod Season & Limits
Season Dates: May 16 – November 30, 2026.
Alaska Resident Regulations (SSEI Area)
To my local Ketchikan neighbors and fellow Alaskans:
Bag Limit: 1 per day.
Possession Limit: 2 in possession.
Size Limit: No size limit for Alaska Residents.
Nonresident Regulations (SSEI Area)
For our visiting guests, we must follow the strict slot limits to keep the fishery healthy:
Daily Bag Limit: 1 per day.
Annual Limit: 2 fish.
Size Requirements: One fish must be between 30 and 35 inches, OR one fish must be 55 inches or longer.
Harvest Record: Nonresidents must immediately record the date and location in ink on their license.
