Winter Fishing 2026

February 3, 2026

Winter Fishing in Southeast Alaska 🎣 Got out on a personal trip with friends recently, and it was a good reminder of why winter fishing in Southeast Alaska can be so rewarding when the weather cooperates. King fishing has been fairly solid, and we even ran into a few halibut along with other bottom fish. Days like these are what winter is all about—quiet waters, fewer boats, and some great fish that make for excellent table fare during the colder months. Conditions always call the shots this time of year, but when the window opens, winter fishing can be every bit as memorable as summer. If you’re curious about what our local waters have to offer beyond peak season, this is it. Real fishing, real Alaska, year-round. — Captain Cable Campbell’s Fishing Charters Ketchikan, Alaska
